Is this only available for the mobile? What about the web?

Currently, we support Android and iOS. We are also actively developing a Web SDK using WebAuthn.

What happens if a user loses their phone?

First, get a new phone from the shop! Then, on the new device, they should click the “Recover my account” button. After an email verification, a new device's key will be registered on the account.

Does Hyphen have control of user accounts?

No, our multi-sig scheme is designed for checks and balances to achieve political decentralization. At least two keys are required for control, but the user stores the rest of the keys.

Isn't it risky to store keys on iCloud?

No, that's only the recovery key. Even if the recovery key gets hacked, the multi-sig account remains safe because only a single key is hacked. The hacker needs at least two keys, but the rest of the keys are either on the user's device or our server.
